View mood as a climate

Mood is like our rainy days, sunny days. Typhoons and storms.
But also, the new moons and full moons, the summer and the winter solstices.
We often think time moves forward.
So our goals, our life, our ups and downs,
Must also move forward.

You tripped on a tiny rock.
“Why again?” you get angry with yourself.
You tripped again.
You got angry with yourself again.
Again. Again. Again.

You think that if you are truly healed, you shouldn’t feel bad emotions anymore.
Did I fail to heal myself? Again?

But think about this:
Even if you are truly healed, you will always trip and fall again.
You will always get angry with yourself again.
You will always have emotions again.
You will always doubt yourself again.
Again.

But isn’t that exactly what you wanted?
To be a truly healed human?
A truly healed person will not be afraid to fall again.
They will not be afraid to get angry again.
They will not be afraid to feel little about themself again.
Because they are truly healed!

So, maybe life is indeed a straight line, but it must also be a cycle.
The forest grows strong. But it must also have rainy days.
The sunny days.
Some trees must fall in the storm, so new ones have rooms to grow.
It’s chaotic.
It gets happy. It gets sad.
It keeps calm winds between the thunders. It hides tears within the raindrops.
A forest is always feeling something.
A forest is so alive!

So stop bullying yourself in the name of self-heal.
You don’t need to blow up that heavy mountain to feel yourself again.
They left a scar on you, I know. I hope you feel pretty again.
But I just want to let you know that a forest looks even more stunning on the mountains.
Your ugly draws me in, because it looks pretty to me.
