The Battle With Dreams – Chapter 2 part 2

The interior design of the plane, though clearly still a plane, really resembled the submarine in which Karza met Lily and Anita. It had very big cabin space, and all the seats had so much legroom. It was the perfect passenger plane.

The guilty trio – even though Karza was barely part of it – were standing next to a flight attendant-cum-judge at the very back of the aisle, awaiting their verdict.

The verdict was eviction from the hospital.

With a parachute.

Directly from the plane.

Man’s face definitely looked a bit surprised, but by now Karza’d gotten very used to the almost illogical turn of events. After all, they were technically in a dream.

The “girlfriend”, on the other hand, gave it not a second thought and started ferociously hand-picking food and beverages from the catering trolley. Karza had no idea what was even going on her mind, but he was sure that the whatever-it-was quite neatly mirrored that of a typical plane passenger.

The luxuriously illuminated cabin was now in a mist of blinding white light. The time for exile had come.

But wait – how do we even USE the parachute?

Before Karza could even react, the trio were literally pushed off the plane, without a single clue how to operate the parachute. The next few seconds – or at least it felt like it was merely seconds – were utter chaos. Karza looked up. The plane was already getting smaller. Man and the girlfriend were also falling, but the three weren’t close to each other. Karza tried to keep his eyes open, but the wind made his eyes so dry and itchy. His eyes hurt. His body was cold. He looked afar; the mountains were green. The sky was blue. The ground was getting closer. He saw vines. Vineyards. Grapes. Maybe it was grapes, maybe it wasn’t. But he was cold. He was falling. But not so cold anymore. He was… hot? No. It was the adrenaline. Probably.
